Manager Fit: what profile actually suits a possession-heavy squad?

A structured way to think about vacancies without pretending to know the outcome

Speculation is easy. GafferLens Manager Fit asks a narrower question: which tactical profiles match the squad that already exists?

A note on speculation

Reported fact

Nothing here reports a club's actual intentions. This is a structural exercise: given a squad's profiles, which coaching models would need the fewest signings to function?

The three questions that matter

Does the squad have a midfielder who can receive under pressure facing his own goal? Does it have a full-back who can invert without losing the wide lane? Does it have a striker who presses the far centre-back on cue?

Answer those honestly and most candidate lists shrink by half.
