GafferLens is built so that it never depends on imagery it does not have the right to use.

Manager photography
A manager photograph is displayed only where GafferLens holds a verified licence for that specific image. Everywhere else the site shows a GafferLens placeholder built from the manager's national flag and initials. Profiles are designed to read correctly without a photograph.
Club badges and league logos
GafferLens does not use club badges or competition logos. In their place each club has an original GafferLens kit identity: a generic shirt drawn from that club's traditional colours and pattern language. These graphics are created by GafferLens, contain no club marks, and are not official merchandise or endorsed by any club.
Trade marks
Club, league and competition names are used descriptively to identify the teams and competitions being discussed. All trade marks remain the property of their owners. No affiliation or endorsement is implied.
Rights queries
Rights holders can contact rights@gafferlens.com. We remove or replace disputed imagery while a query is being reviewed.
